NSCN-IM

The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), based in Manipur, was formed in 1980.  In 1988 it split into two factions: Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) and Khaplang (NSCN-K), named after their respective leaders.  The NSCN-IM seeks the establishment of a greater Nagaland, or Nagalim, covering present-day Nagaland and the Naga inhabited areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Burma.
