Serious floods in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam
The Times of India today reports that flash floods and landslides have hit Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. 10 people are reported dead and as many as 300,000 displaced.
Northeast India is composed of the 'seven sisters' - Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura - as well as Sikkim and northern parts of West Bengal.
